The Airloc ABS Wide Spade offers superior performance for speaker cable terminations by leveraging the latest Airloc™ cold weld technology. This technology permanently bonds the spade terminal to speaker cables, eliminating resistance increases caused by oxidation and poor contact. The wide spade design is compatible with speaker terminals up to 10mm wide, ensuring a secure and high-conductivity connection. QED’s Airloc™ technology is specially developed to counteract issues typically found at the interface between speaker cables and connectors. Standard screw-type terminals often leave gaps and oxidation that degrade audio performance. By using a cold weld process, Airloc™ effectively fuses the cable and connector into a single, solid piece of metal. This results in minimal resistance and long-lasting, reliable performance across QED’s entire cable range. The spade connector’s body is made from high copper-content brass and features a 24k gold plating for maximum conductivity. It fits a range of cable sizes and is compatible with the complete QED speaker cable line.
